Summary
Master Chief Petty Officer Jeffery Ryan, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard's Historic Ship's Company, explains to visitors at Chicago's Navy Pier what life might have been like on a Revenue Cutter during the War of 1812, Aug 16, 2012. Ryan and other Coast Guard members will provide a history of the service's involvement in the War of 1812 throughout the weekend, near the Coast Guard Cutter Biscayne Bay on the southeast end of Navy Pier.
