Forty-five 8th grade physics students from Rippowam Cisqua School based in Bedford, N.Y., spent the day with the Sturgeon Bay crew learning about the ins and outs of a ship in preparation for designing a nuclear powered submarine for a class competition.
The Coast Guard Cutter Sturgeon Bay crew hosts students from various New York and New Jersey schools as participants in the Partnership In Education program.
