Summary

ATLANTIC OCEAN--U.S. Coast Guard Seaman Christopher Harper, a boarding team member from the Coast Guard Cutter Forward, and Sgt. Conteh and several other Sierra Leone maritime law enforcement officers sailed with the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Forward during a portion of the cutter's scheduled deployment in West Africa in support of the African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership (AMLEP) mission, an operational branch of the Africa Partnership Station (APS). During the deployment, the Forward crew worked with the host nation law enforcement team to increase awareness and deter illegal fishing off the coast of West Africa.
