The woman in this plate wears a dress with a wide crinoline and a 'manteau impératrice' or Algerian burnous in fur. Her hair is fashioned in plaits close to her head and is revealed by her bonnet. The girl on the left wears a shortened version of a crinoline skirt with white pantalettes that emerge from her skirt, similar to women's attire of the era. Her hat has a wide brim and is adorned with a ribbon. The boy wears ballooning pants, a 'Russian' blouse with a soft, wide collar underneath a fairly structured 'skeleton' jacket.
