Ford's (CVN 78) commanding officer, receives the commissioning pennant from Ford's Command Master Chief Laura Nunley during the ship's change of command ceremony at Vista Point onboard Naval Station Norfolk. The change of command ceremony is a time-honored Naval tradition in which the transfer of responsibility, authority, and accountability occurs from one individual to another individual.
