CORONADO, Calif. (May. 29, 2013) Capt. Gary Mayes, commanding officer of Naval Base Coronado, receives the Military Conservation Partner Award plaque from Rowan Gould, assistant director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The base is a recipient of this year's Military Conservation Partner Award for outstanding work in cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to promote conservation on military lands.
