Buckingham Palace, London (with French sub-titles) (28737476745)
Summary
A rare visit to the Stereo Pairs collection takes us out foreign, to Bucks House no less and the "Picture Gallery". The titles as inserted on the slide are in French which may raise questions as to its provenance and source(?)
[/photos/129555378@N07/ sharon.corbet] that the image was a work by the studios of Ferrier, Soulier & Levy (Wikipedia) who did glass stereographs (note similar image with comparable French sub-text). It's suggested that the image was taken close to the middle of the 1860-1880s range - but certainly some time before redevelopment of the room and its ceiling in the early 20th century....
