Summary
Worthington Farm. Beginning in 1812, John McPherson, Jr. and his father, Colonel John McPherson, purchased and assembled adjacent tracts of land to create an approximately 1,111-acre tract that he called Araby. Over time, John McPherson, Jr. divided and sold the land parcels to satisfy creditors, leading to the development of "Clifton" (Worthington Farm).
