Valentin de Boulogne was a French Baroque painter who was active in Rome. He was known for his realistic and dramatic depictions of religious and genre scenes, often with a focus on the use of light and shadow. His work was highly influential and he was considered one of the leading painters of his time. Valentin de Boulogne's most famous works include "The Judgement of Solomon" and "The Concert." He died in 1632 at the age of 41.
