Bosch Bldg ghost - National Parks Gallery

The Bosch Brewing Company of Lake Linden commissioned several notable commercial structures in the Copper Country. In Calumet, these included the Hotel Michigan (Michigan House) and this handsome building on the southeast corner of 5th and Pine with a saloon and second storefront downstairs and apartments upstairs. Destroyed by fire on July 23, 1989, this building on the north end of 5th Street unfortunately went #MissingintheCopperCountry just a year before it would have been one hundred years old.
