Bauffe Punterende boer - A painting of a boat on a river

In 1849 in Bergen (Mons) born painter Victor Bauffe Hague was a real Scholar, who received his education at the Hague Academy. He worked almost entirely in the style of his friend and mentor Weissenbruch JH with whom he often went together into the fields to find beautiful hardwood cuttings that were recorded in watercolors and oils. His watercolors are sometimes better almost similar to that of Weissenbruch that without the signature difference is difficult to see.
