Op deze prent zien we de enorme Trajanuszuil die in 113 na Christus was opgericht naar aanleiding van de overwinningen van keizer Trajanus op de Daciërs.
English: The city of Rome was in the 17th century a popular place for travellers, artists and scientists. For all those who lacked the money to visit Rome, Nicolaes Visscher II (1649-1702) provided a series of prints with the most important architectural and archeological highlights of the city engraved by Willem_Swidde (c. 1660-1697). This print shows the famous colom of Trajanus, erected in 113 at the occasion of the conquests of the Daciërs by Emperor Trajanus.
