g to His creatures. Because God foreknowsall things. He is able to say to us just what He canand will do. Any one who has even a fair knowledge of theBible, knows that God reads and makes known thecoming events. When Nebuchadnezzar was thinkingabout the days to come, God revealed to him in adream the whole future history of the world, in acondensed form. Concisely and graphically, by sixbold outline strokes of the masters brush, as it were, the whole future was painted: first Babylon; thenMedo-Persia; next Grecia; following that, Rome; andafter Rome, the divided empire; and last of all, thegreat stone cut out of the mountain without hand, destroying the image, becoming a great mountainfilling the whole earth — this last a token of that ever-lasting kingdom which God will eventually set up tocrown and end the history of the world. All the great prophecies of the Bible — the wholebook of Revelation, for example — portray the future. With so many of these prophecies already fulfilled.
