Description: The SIVB (Third stage [IVB] of Saturn Launch vehicle) stage after Lunar Module (LM) ejection. On command from the Mission Control Center in Houston, the spent SIVB (Third stage [IVB] of Saturn Launch vehicle) maneuvered away from the hard-docked Command Service Module (CSM) and Lunar Module (LM). The SIVB (Third stage [IVB] of Saturn Launch vehicle) continued along the modified trajectory to impact on lunar surface. Part of the Lunar Module (LM), including three of the four thrusters in a reaction control system thruster quad, can be seen along the bottom edge of the frame.
