As the chair of the Quality Improvement Patient Safety

As the chair of the Quality Improvement Patient Safety Committee for the Department of Graduate Medical Education, Lt. Cmdr. Bridget Cunningham’s leadership was instrumental in the planning, design, preparation and successful delivery of the command’s inaugural Quality Symposium. This successful display of quality improvement projects drew participation from throughout Navy Medicine East, the Enhanced Multi-Service Market and the command. She guided three departments through comprehensive process improvement projects, improving patient safety and outcomes. She improved patient safety reporting visibility with a new tracking database, improving patient safety across the directorate. Cunningham led the command’s Neonatology Division in productivity and exceeded Defense Health Agency targets.
