The shipyard closed on September 30, 1995, but the Navy Intermediate Ship Maintenance Facility (NIMSF) will continue to store decommissioned and mothballed ships. Visible are the battleships IOWA (BB-61) and WISCONSIN (BB-64); the aircraft carriers FORESTALL (CV-59) and SARATOGA (CV-60); three supply ships; the amphibious assault ships IWO JIMA (LPH-2) and OKINAWA (LPH-3) along the Delaware River.
