PACIFIC OCEAN (May. 04, 2007) Air department Sailors position an aircraft barricade during flight deck drills aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Aircraft barricades are used to stop incoming aircraft in emergency recovery situations. Kitty Hawk is underway conducting sea trials after completing four months in ships restricted availability (SRA). Kitty Hawk is the Navy's only overseas-based aircraft carrier.
