No. 37. George IV sits on a sofa, holding up one of a pair of candlesticks to read (near-sightedly) a newspaper: 'The Mor . . .' The other candlestick, candle extinguished, is on the table, snuffers beside it. Below the design: 'Reads—New Farringdon Market, Beef—Prime parts 6d. pr lb. The Choicest cuts 6½d. These Windsor fellows charge me 7½d & 8d—It's too much—I'll not pay it—Can't afford such extravagance.'
