No. 40,and passed into the Collection of Mrs. C. P. Huntington in 1907. Another portrait executed by Hals at this period, and formerly in theRodolphe Kann Collection but now in the Huntington Collection, is that of aLady, inscribeJ, /uta sv/t 51 an^ 1644. It bears the arms o\ Berk ot Dor-drecht, and represents Dorothea Koeijmans, nee Berk, the wife of Joseph hererepresented and the mother of Johan Koeijmans. 5> For these biographical facts see The R.
