Summary
U.S. Navy Douglas A-4C Sykhawk fighters (BuNo 147703, 150598) from Anti-Submarine Fighter Squadron VSF-1 War Eagles aboard the the aircraft carrier USS Independence (CVA-62). VSF-1 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 7 (CVW-7) aboard the Independence for a deployment to the Mediteranean Sea from 30 April 1968 to 27 January 1969. The other two Skyhawks belong to Attack Squadron VA-76 Spirits (BuNo 147749, ?). In the background are a Kaman UH-2A/B Seasprite from Helicopter Utility Squadron HC-2 Det.62 Fleet Angels and a McDonnell F-4J Phantom II from Fighter Squadron VF-84 Jolly Rogers.
