3 sly old cards! (BM 1896,0501.1638)

Three Court Cards, with long thin arms and legs projecting from the card, are poised on chairs at a round table. In the middle, full-face, is a king with the face of William IV; he shuffles a pack, saying 'I Shuffle'. On the left and right are two knaves, facing each other in profile. One is Grey, with a predatory hand extended; he says 'I'll Cut!' The other is Brougham in his Chancellor's wig, saying, 'And I'll Trick'. Their respective suits are indicated by a crown, a money-bag inscribed '£', and a broom. A decanter is on the table and each has a glass. All are caricatured. 1832?
