Summary

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and USDA FPAC Under Secretary Robert Bonnie launched the first two projects of the historic Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities effort with a signing at Commodity Classic on March 10, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. This kickstarted a $3.1 billion investment in 141 tentatively selected projects.
The Midwest Climate-Smart Commodity Program project is led by the Iowa Soybean Association. Other major partners include AgOutcomes, PepsiCo, Cargill, Renewable Energy Group, Ingredion, Target, JBS, Coca-Cola, FarmRaise, Rural Community Assistance Partnership.
