201006-N-IO312-1050 PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 6, 2020) The dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Charles Drew (T-AKE 10) sails alongside the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in preparation for a replenishment-at-sea. America, flagship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, assigned to Amphibious Squadron 11, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
