200423-M-OO419-1007 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 23, 2020) Marines assigned to the Maritime Raid Force, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepare to jump into the ocean from a CH-53E Super Stallion during helocasting training April 23, 2020. The 26th MEU is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
