190518-N-SS350-0113 ARABIAN SEA (May 18, 2019) Marines assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) fast-rope from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the “Chargers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26, onto the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) during a visit, board, search and seizure training. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (ABECSG) and Kearsarge Amphibious Readiness Group (KSGARG) are conducting joint operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. The ABECSG and KSGARG, with the 22nd MEU, are prepared to respond to contingencies and to defend U.S. forces and interests in the region.
