description

Summary

"Single", an 1846 engraved print showing a man sitting by the fire in his solitary abode and lamenting his bachelorhood. His boots lie on the floor; presumably he has had to take them off himself. A broken tobacco-pipe(?) is also on the floor. He holds in his hand another print, titled "Married", showing a man with wife and three children. Artists' signature at lower right: "Anderson Honeydew, New-York".
