180828-N-CO914-0223.JPG LOS ANGELES (August 28, 2018) Sailors aboard the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Scout (MCM 8) render honors to the Royal Canadian Navy Halifax-class frigate HMCS Ottawa (FFH 341) as the ships arrive at the Port of Los Angeles to begin Los Angeles Fleet Week (LAFW).  LAFW is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas.
