PACIFIC OCEAN (March 26, 2017) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) pulls alongside the Military Sealift Command fleet oiler USNS Carl Brashear (T-AO 7) to conduct a replenishment-at-sea during composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
