Robert Antoine Pinchon (1886–1943) was a French painter and printmaker associated with the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements. He was born in Rouen, France, and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in his home town. Pinchon was heavily influenced by the work of Claude Monet and Paul Cézanne, and his paintings often depict landscapes and seascapes in a vibrant, colourful style. He was also known for his use of light and shadow to create depth and mood in his works. In addition to his paintings, Pinchon was also a prolific printmaker, creating etchings and lithographs of his work. He exhibited his work at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d'Automne in Paris, and his works are now in collections around the world. Pinchon continued to paint throughout his life, although he suffered from ill health. He died in 1943, aged 57.
