Alfred Guesdon ( Nantes , 1808 - 1876 ) was a French architect, engraver and lithographer. He is known for the lithographs he made of various European cities in the mid-nineteenth century for publication in the magazine La Illustration, Journal Universel de Paris . It is believed that to produce his prints, he used photographs taken by the photographer and Welsh aeronaut Charles Clifford, from his hot air balloon.
The National Bibliothek in Vienna, the department Kartensammlung holds large collections of watercolor landscape paintings and prints of Italy.
