NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (July 15, 2018) -- USS Gerald R.

Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Rick D. West talks with Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71).

Livet vid brädgårdskajerna var livligt under utlastningssäsongen. Foto från ca 1930 taget från Öd och föreställande Kramfors östra brädgård. Hamnkontoret skymtar till höger och kanalens inlopp allra längst till höger i bild. I bakgrunden ligger Kramfors kapell. Tre virkeslastade ångare har ankrat upp framför brädgården, en av dem lastas från spetspråmar, ur vilka just hyvas några "bunschar" virke, var det av prima kvalitet, eller kanske hyvlat, så brukade man använda takpråmar för den händelse ångaren dröjde och lasten fick ligga och vänta.
