Summary
151017-N-MK881-342
BAY OF BENGAL (October 17, 2015) Engineman 2nd Class Taylor Darr, assigned to Surface Warfare Mission Package, Detachment 4, currently embarked aboard the littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3), recovers and returns a simulated “Oscar” to the Indian navy during a Search and Rescue drill as part of Exercise Malabar. Currently on a 16-month rotational deployment in support of the Indo-Asia-Pacific Rebalance, Fort Worth is a fast and agile warship tailor-made to patrol the region’s littorals and work hull-to-hull with partner navies, providing 7th Fleet with the flexible capabilities it needs now and in the future.
