US Air Force (USAF) Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Doris Wong performs an eye exam for a local patient at the Zamboanga Medical Center. LTC Wong, attached to the US Navy (USN) Military Sealift Command (MSC), Hospital Ship, USNS MERCY (T-AH 19), is helping to exam more than 250 patients and distributed some 200-pairs of glasses to the local residents of the Republic of Philippine City of Zamboanga. The USNS MERCY is on a scheduled five-month deployment to deliver aid and humanitarian assistance to the Pacific Islands, and Southeast Asia

US Air Force (USAF) SENIOR AIRMAN (SRA) Derek Griggs, (foreground) and USAF STAFF Sergeant (SSGT) Jed Lawhun, Crewchiefs, 36th Maintenance Squadron (MXS), Osan Air Base (AB), Korea (ROK), launch their F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter jets, 36th Fighter Squadron (FS), during Exercise COMMANDO SLING 04-3 at Paya Lebar Air Base (AB), Singapore (SGP). The goal of the exercise is to provide a US presence in Southeast Asia and realistic dissimilar air combat training (DACT) for the forces of both nations.
