An elegantly dressed girl seated in an armchair, holding up a book in her left hand, lifting up his left arm, looking towards the viewer with mouth open; paper and volumes on table at right, glass bottle on chest of drawers behind at left; gold edges to sheet; after a painting by Patrois; in volume half-bound in green cloth-covered boards and green leather, with gold tooling, lettered on spine 'French familiar subjects / in / lithography. / Coloured.'
